Unconvinced, Portwine persuaded the brothers to focus on a three-wheel delivery vehicle soon after under the company name Autocars and Accessories Ltd.
By 1907, AC was used for the first time. An Art Nouveau style nameplate that would become instantly recognisable as the abbreviation of Auto Carriers Ltd. Adorning icons of road and racing for decades to come.
